Ishii Yuya Director : message
The long-awated Ishii's new movie, "To Walk Beside You," is now in production.
A 34-year-old country mediocre high school teacher, Akemi and her 17-year-old unsullied student, Norio planned an unafraid elopement to Tokyo.
The naked truth behind this mysterious and immoral conduct of these two should be found understandable as the story goes on... maybe...
Filled with plenty of laughs, the story of their living in Tokyo would bring a moment of joy and bittersweet together to your life.
It is the Ishii's newest film and also the first work of Chavez's Cinema Production.
The shooting which is in progress in Nov. 2008 will be completed in its editing by the end of the year.

- Ishii Yuya wins Asian Film Awards “Edward Yang New Talent Award.” Its victory ceremony will be held in Hong Kong on March 17.
- "Rebel, Jiro's Love" was nominated for the off theater competition of International Fantastic Film festival 2008. The prize ceremony will be held on March 23.
- Hong Kong International Film Festival is going to celebrate Ishii by setting up a special program, “Ishii Yuya: Stranger than Hysteria” and introduce “Bare-assed Japan,” “Rebell, Jiro's Love,” “ Girl Sparks,” and “ Of Monster Mode.”
